Your position
As the largest provider of Offshore Substations for Offshore windfarms, we are currently involved in several large-scale projects and are a part of the world’s transition towards a greener future. Your expertise in Plant design software will be instrumental in creating the tool for precise and detailed technical drawings, models, and layouts. You will collaborate closely with our highly skilled and passionate 3D design team, IT department and our structural partners to ensure accurate representations of designs, drive efficiency, and optimize the overall design process.
We are currently focused on optimizing our CAD usage to enable the development, modification, and optimization of the design process. This is where you come in!
Your tasks & responsibilities
As our new CAD Specialist Engineer you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and optimizing our Plant design tools. You will collaborate closely with our 3D engineers, structural partners, and IT department to ensure an effectively working process in our CAD environment.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Managing, administrate and develop our CAD software setup
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to understand design objectives and provide technical support throughout the design phase
- Regularly update and maintain CAD libraries, templates, and documentation to streamline design workflows
- Administrate data exchange between software and our structural partners
- Setup the CAD tools for each project
- Stay updated with the latest CAD software advancements and best practices to continuously improve design capabilities
- Provide training and support to team members on CAD software usage and best practice
- Troubleshoot and resolve any CAD-related issues that may arise during the design process
Your profile & qualifications
You are a CAD enthusiast with a passion for optimizing processes related to CAD. Ideally, you have experience in managing plant design software and related processes.
As a detail-oriented individual, you are committed to ensuring accuracy and workflow alignment within the team.
To succeed in this position, we expect that you:
- Possess extensive experience in using plant design software
- Have VBA and/or .NET programming skills
- Preferably have a background from the mechanical engineering, technical Designer, or related field
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Have experience from working on multi-discipline engineering projects
- Are fluent in English, written and spoken
